A Letter from the President

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Tyler Catholic School Foundation, I would like to thank you for your interest in the Foundation. The TCSF has served St. Gregory Cathedral School and Bishop Gorman Catholic School in Tyler, Texas for 40 years. The generosity of many donors has resulted in funding scholarships and endowment funds enabling the Foundation to make substantial annual contributions to the schools. These scholarships and endowments have been invested and have grown to over $5,000,000. Because of this, TCSF has contributed nearly $4,600,000 directly to the schools since its inception. In the last three years, we were able to give over $1,000,000 to the schools. These funds have been used for financial aid to families, fine arts, teacher development, facilities and merit scholarships.

A Tyler Catholic School Foundation Scholarship can be a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding for St. Gregory and Bishop Gorman students, programs, and capital needs. Scholarship assets are invested and each year, a portion of the value of the fund is paid out to support the schools. Imagine, as we add more scholarships to the Foundation, how much more we can do for our schools every year!

When you establish a scholarship at TCSF, scholarships can be named for yourself, your family, your friend, your favorite teacher, your company; your options are virtually limitless. Most importantly, your gifts provide lasting care for St. Gregory and Bishop Gorman students, teachers, programs and facilities. In addition, you can contribute to the numerous scholarships that already exist. Gifts to the Foundation make great memorials, birthday, graduation, & thank you presents.

My husband and I started a Scholarship in 2016 and contribute to it regularly. We do this because our 3 daughters received an excellent education from St. Gregory and Bishop Gorman. We can never repay the schools for their impact on our lives, but we can contribute over time to fund a scholarship that will help other children receive the wonderful experience of our Tyler Catholic Schools.
