Letter from the President

John P. Williams, President
Collin M. Maloney, President

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Tyler Catholic School Foundation, I would like to welcome you to our Web site and thank you for your interest in the foundation.
Since the Foundation was created in 1983 its mission has been the financial support of Catholic Education for St. Gregory Cathedral School and Bishop T.K. Gorman Regional Catholic School in Tyler, Texas. The generosity of many like-minded donors has resulted in the full funding of (84) eighty– four $25,000 scholarships, allowing hundreds of students the opportunity to receive an outstanding Catholic education. In addition, generous Endowment Funds have enabled the Foundation to make important contributions to the schools. The Foundation has grown to a fair market value in excess of $4.0MM, while contributing millions of dollars directly to the schools since its inception. These funds have been used primarily for financial aid to deserving families but also for fine arts, teacher emolument, facilities and merit scholarships.

Our Foundation Board’s passion for Catholic education is only surpassed by the passion of the teachers and administrators in the schools. Their commitment to a faith-based education, which excels in academic excellence while building social and moral character has helped each school receive national recognition.

Two annual events are the highlights of the Foundation’s year. The Milam Joseph Golf Tournament, is held each Spring with proceeds going toward merit scholarships for deserving students. In the fall, the Foundation’s Annual Appreciation Dinner is a time when friends and supporters gather to celebrate the generosity that is the Foundation’s history and honor those whose scholarships and endowments have matured to the level allowing for distributions. Our staff and Board members are honored to help you and your family facilitate the wonderful generosity and support of our mission through your donations.

God Bless You,
Collin M. Maloney
